ABOUT ME

 WELCOME !!!

Hi! My name is Vicky. I was born and raised in Germany up to the age of 9 and then the family moved back to the motherland, Greece. At 17 I leave Greece to become an exchage student to the USA and stayed there for college and work till I was about 27. My thirties find me back in Greece happily married and I now (in my early forties) have a 12 year old son and a 9 year old daughter. I started this blog as a creative outlet, as an escape from routine, as an attempt to come in contact with people from around the world, to share what I know, to learn what I don't know, to entertain, to make one wonder and to show what Greece is all about! I do welcome and appreciate any comments and questions you may have. I hope you like my blog!

  4. Greetings from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I love that blogging unites women from around the globe. Congrats on starting your blog! How fortunate that you live in Greece. The 2004 Olympics convinced me that it's the most beautiful place on earth! I'm about to become your newest follower! I'd love it if you'd visit Chaton's World at http://chatonsworld.blogspot.com and let me know your thoughts. Take care and happy blogging!

  6. Hi there ,
So happy you joined in with Lovin' the Weekend Blog Hops! Thanks for sharing the buttons. I just wanted to let you know you have been randomly selected to be this week's Featured Host. Could you please email me at kewkew34@yahoo.com to let me know you received this. I would also need you to send me a little "blurb" about your blog. Things like, how long you've been blogging, why you blog, what you blog about. In other words, things you would like us to know to get to know you better. I will add it to the post along with your button if you have one and then I will send you the html code to post tomorrow (Friday at 6pm EST). Congrats again, and nice to meet you. I am now following you!

  7. HI Vicky, I am an American, living in France (for the 2nd time). My family and I visited Greece briefly during a cruise a few years ago. Remember the Costa ship that sank?? That was the ship we were on, thankfully not the day it sank. Anyway, my whole family LOVED Greece and the Greek food. We are thinking of vacationing in Greece during Christmas time. Do you have any suggestions as to where would be a good place to visit during that time. I see you live in Athens. We are not so interested in a big city such as that but someplace a bit smaller, and we are willing to visit a few places. Thank you Vicky and I enjoy your blog and especially the recipes, as I love to cook.
